Dr. Ersilia Anghel is a facial plastic surgeon in Vancouver, WA, and the founder of Anghel Facial Plastic Surgery. She focuses on deep plane facelift and neck lift, including for patients after GLP‑1 or bariatric weight loss, and also performs eyelid and brow surgery, rhinoplasty, lip lift and reconstruction after skin cancer. Her goal is for patients to look and feel more like themselves.
She is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. She completed her residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) in Portland, then a fellowship in Facial Plastic Surgery in Salt Lake City, Utah. She also trained with Dr. Frederick Menick, a specialist in nasal reconstruction.
Dr. Anghel was born in Romania, grew up in Toronto, Canada, and later moved to Tucson, Arizona. At the University of Arizona she earned degrees in both biochemistry and art history, then her medical degree at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. Both fields shape how she plans a face: the science of the underlying structure, and an eye for proportion and balance. She speaks English, Romanian and French.
Before and during her surgical training, she did research in wound healing and reconstruction at Georgetown University, Stanford University, the University of Washington and the University of Manchester in England, and she has published 20 peer-reviewed papers.
Outside the operating room, Dr. Anghel spends time with her family and friends, hikes in Forest Park, hosts gatherings and travels to explore new cultures and places.
